The Unique Blogger Award

I was nominated for the Unique Blogger Award by the wonderful Steph who you all should really go follow if you aren’t already.

The Rules:

  • Share the link of the blogger who has shown love to you by nominating you
  • Answer the questions
  • In the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family, nominate 8-13 people for the same award
  • Ask them 3 questions

Steph’s Questions:

What is the lock screen and home screen on your phone? (I’m just curious)

Ok…. listen…… there is something you all should know about me and that is the fact that I am unapologetic Colin Farrell trash.

(My home screen is just one of the boring default iPhone ones, I don’t like a busy home screen.)

What’s something you were really into/obsessed with when you were a kid?

Horses.  I was That Horse Girl for a decade from ages 7-17.  I worked at a barn in exchange for free riding lessons, so I spent most of my time around horses.  My horse Tommy was a white Arabian and he was very pretty:

What was the best birthday you’ve had?

I don’t know if this is actually The Best, but my 20th birthday comes to mind.  I was at school in New Orleans, and the weather was gorgeous (around 80 and sunny which even for New Orleans is good for March) and there was some basketball thing going on in the city (lol I am clearly not a sports person because I still don’t really know what it was aside from ‘some basketball thing’) BUT that meant that there were all these free concerts going on, so two of my friends and I took the streetcar downtown and saw The Black Keys for free.

My Questions:

  • Where’s the farthest place from home that you’ve traveled to?
  • What is your favorite fictional relationship?  Either romantic or platonic.
  • What is one food that your town/state/country is known for, and do you like it?

    • I’m pretty sure my parents should get the credit for working that one out, but it was a good deal! I got to hang out with horses so I could ride horses, I was very happy indeed.

  1. Thanks for the tag! Also, I’ll be honest, you talk about Colin Farrell a lot, but I can NEVER picture him and seeing his picture I’m like “oh, of course” but guarantee than in an hour I’ll have completely forgotten what he looks like. It’s some kind of weird curse.

    • OMG that is absolutely hilarious thank you for sharing. Poor Colin. I cycle through many celeb crushes but he’s been my main dude for like a decade. Do you get him confused with Colin Firth?? One of my other friends had that problem but I eventually won her around.

      • I had to make up a mnemonic device so my friend could keep them straight and all we came up with was FIRTH sounds like FIRST because he’s older and FARRELL sounds like HAIR because he’s had some absolutely tragic hair styles for his roles rip

  2. I’m glad I get to see that picture of Colin Farrell in all his glory now….the black and white is really working for me for some reason. Also that snowy horse is gorgeous :’) When I saw his name was Tommy I immediately thought of Tommy Falk……..RIP. But also I’M ALMOST DONE WITH TABE.

    • TOMMY FALK 😦 but omg I know, like my nickname used to be Puck and my horse’s name was Tommy, why was Maggie coming for me like that??? OMG I AM SO STOKED FOR THE TABE.

      • I should have just written the whole thing right after we finished the book bc I was like………………….’wait what happened again’ and had to go and reread all the parts with Tommy and Gabe, lol. BUT IT’S GETTING THERE.

  3. Yessss former horse girls unite! You were way more intense than me though. I only rode for a few years before I packed it in, although I still read ALL the horse series books, and I played with my few Breyer and lots of Grand Champion figures. That photo of your horse is gorgeous by the way!
